The short version
Petroglyphica Lab keeps your research in your hands: on your device, and in your own cloud space if you enable sync. It contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Data
Photographs
Photos you take or import are stored with your records.
Location (GPS)
GPS coordinates you attach to a record are stored with that record, so you can find sites again.
Field notes
Notes and observations you write are stored with your records.
Account and cloud sync (if enabled)
If the app offers an account or cloud synchronisation, your records are stored in your cloud space solely to keep your devices in sync. They are never sold, shared or used for advertising.
Third-party services
Petroglyphica Lab does not use third-party advertising, tracking or analytics services. When the app is distributed through the App Store, Apple may provide the developer with aggregated, anonymised statistics and optional crash reports, as described in Apple’s own privacy terms.
Data retention and deletion
Your data stays where you put it — on your device, and in storage you control (such as your personal iCloud) where syncing is offered. Deleting the app removes its on-device data. For questions about your data, use the contact address below.
Children’s privacy
Petroglyphica Lab is not directed at children under 13, and no personal data is knowingly collected from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the app evolves. The current version, with the date above, is always published at this address.
